Multiple Orange County cities are cracking down on kratom with different strategies. Fullerton, Anaheim, Buena Park, Huntington Beach, and Laguna Niguel restrict products with more than 2% 7-OH, allowing natural leaf to adults over 21. Conversely, Newport Beach, Dana Point, Tustin, and Stanton ban kratom entirely. Mission Viejo unanimously voted for a complete ban after initial hesitation from some council members concerned about restricting access for those who benefit from natural forms.
